What if my child needs to miss a lesson/class?

Piano/Voice Make-Up Policy

We recognize that absences occur, and we're here to support your music education. Our make-up policy provides pre-recorded video lessons if you give at least 24 hours notice. This allows your child to continue their learning uninterrupted. Please note, make-up lessons aren’t available for notice given under 24 hours. If you anticipate a scheduling conflict, please notify Adare Jane Studios as soon as possible. 

Kindermusik Make-Up Policy

If you need to miss a Kindermusik class, we understand that life happens! We offer a flexible make-up policy, allowing you to attend any other scheduled class within 30 days. This helps keep up with the curriculum and ensures your child enjoys valuable musical experiences. Check our class schedule for a convenient make-up class.

How much should my child practice?

Consistent, short practice sessions are more effective than infrequent long ones. For beginners, 10-15 minutes daily is a great start. As students progress, this time may increase. We encourage parents to help establish a regular practice routine.

Can I pause my classes?

Pausing classes is generally possible with at least 30 days notice as long as there is no waitlist. If there is a waitlist, we cannot guarantee your spot will be saved!

What is the cancellation policy?

To ensure a smooth transition, please note that canceling your membership requires a 30-day notice. This allows us to manage resources and assist those on our waitlist. To cancel, provide your notice in writing at least 30 days before your desired cancellation date. For questions or assistance, feel free to contact our support team. We appreciate your understanding!

Does my child need prior experience?

No prior experience is required for any of our programs! We welcome students of all levels, from complete beginners to those with some musical background. We'll meet your child where they are and guide them forward.

How are payments handled?

Payments are scheduled once a month at the beginning of the month. We utilize two different secure payment platforms for your convenience. Specific details and links will be provided upon enrollment.

What materials does my child need?

For piano and voice lessons, students will need their instrument (or access to one) and specific method books, which will be recommended by Ms. Jeni upon enrollment. Kindermusik materials are included in tuition.

What's the difference between Kindermusik and individual lessons?

Kindermusik is an early childhood music and movement program for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, focusing on foundational musical concepts in a group setting. Individual piano or voice lessons offer personalized instruction for older children and adults, focusing on specific instrument or vocal techniques.

Is my child too young or too old to start music lessons?

It's never too early or too late to begin a musical journey! Kindermusik is perfect for babies and young children, while individual piano and voice lessons are suitable for school-aged children and teenagers. We tailor our approach to each student's age and developmental stage.
